  • What services are offered at KYP?
    Kharacterize Your Party LLC provides entertainment for children’s parties and events. The character of your choice will make a special appearance to your home, business, or an authorized party venue to meet, take photos, and interact with your guests. We also offer costume rentals on select inventory.
  • I’m not sure which service option is right for me. How do I know if I should book a Kharacter or Rent a Kharacter from KYP?
    Please read the description below to decide which option is right for you: Option 1. Would you like your child’s favorite Kharacter to make a special appearance to your home, business, or an authorized party venue to mingle, take photos, and interact with your guests? Then booking a Kharacter may be the option for you. Our performer (in costume) will be accompanied by an attendant to assist the performer with making the party one to remember for your party guests. Option 2. Have a friend or relative willing to dress up as your child’s favorite Kharacter and perform at your party/event? Then the costume rental option might be for you. With this option you’ll be able to select Kharacter(s) based on “select inventory” to rent for an 8/hr period. * Be sure to visit our website to view which Kharacters are available for each service.
  • How far will Kharacters travel in Tulsa area?
    KYP provides services for Tulsa metro and surrounding areas. Cities/towns outside of the Tulsa metro area will be subject to additional travel fees. Feel free to reach out to us via email or by visiting the "Contact" section on our website for additional information.
  • Photo and Video Releases
    By booking with Kharacterize Your Party LLC you give permission for pictures taken at the party/event to be used by the Kharacterize Your Party LLC website or any other publication or advertisement in conjunction with Kharacterize Your Party LLC programs, with the understanding that names will not be used with the photo nor will guest be identified in any other way. If you would like to opt OUT of this blanket agreement, email us at least 48 hours before the party/event to sign an OPT OUT notice.
  • How can I book a kharacter or rental for my event?
    Feel free to visit our website at www.kharacterizeyourparty.com to reserve your service. Additional questions can be answered by contacting us by phone at 539.302.3444, sending us an email at kharacterizeyourparty@gmail.com, or visiting one of our social media platforms FB at https://www.facebook.com/KharacterizeYourPartyLLC and Instagram at www.instagram.com/kharacterizeyourparty . Please be advised that in order to complete your reservation you must visit the website, select kharacter, sign the appropriate contract agreement, and remit full payment.
  • What else do I need to do to confirm my reservation?
    When making a reservation you’ll sign a contract/agreement specific to the service you choose and remit payment. Once we receive the confirmation someone from our team will contact you within 24-48 hours to confirm reservation and answer any questions you may have.
  • What happens if I book a service less than 7 days of my event? Will I still be able to make a reservation?
    Reservations are handled via our website and are on a first come, first serve basis. Should you book less than a week before your event/party a confirmation will depend on availability of our staff (or rental inventory). Please feel free to contact us to be added to our "waitlist" and we will contact you in the event there are cancellations. If reservation is requested less than 7 days of the event you may be charged an additional fee of $50. *Should you decide to schedule a reservation and no one is available for your event you will receive a refund.
  • How much does KYP charge for bookings and rentals. What all do your packages include?
    Kharacter Bookings are available in 30 minute sessions and start at $105-$135 (prices vary) The 30 Minute Single Kharacter Basic Package includes: -Performer (in costume) -Attendant (to assist with flow of itinerary if applicable or added for additional $25 based on request). -Surprise entrance to party while playing themed music or approved music of client’s choice is played. -Performance/dancing to themed music/songs (2 songs) -Photos, mingling, and interaction with guests (Photos with will be taken with client and client guests using their own cellular and/or technology devices. Attendant will be available to assist with this process). -Client choice of activity (must be within allotted timeframe and a reasonable request) The SUPERHERO Costume Single Rental Package ranges from $95-$105 and includes: A SUPERHERO Costume Rental that has been cleaned, steamed, and sanitized prior to your use. The SUPERHERO costume can be worn by a family member or friend to your party or event. The Mascot Costume Single Kharacter Rental Package ranges between $100-$175 and includes: -A Mascot Costume Rental that has been cleaned, steamed, and sanitized prior to your use. The Mascot costume can be worn by a family member or friend to your party or event. *ALL Rentals are subject to a "refundable security deposit" that can range between $75-$150 based on costume rented. The security deposit will be charged in addition to cost of rental and will be refunded once costume is returned and in acceptable condition. Taxes and fees will also apply and will be quoted on invoice. If you choose to secure your rental online someone from our team will contact, you and email a separate invoice to collect taxes and security deposit in the event site doesn't automatically generate those costs. Rental will not be delivered or available for pick up until cost of rental, taxes, and security deposit has been paid. The appropriate Rental Agreement/Contract form must be signed as well. *Please be advised that some of our appearance and rental prices may vary based on demand. Please visit our website to confirm reservation or rental pricing for character of your choice in advance. Rentals may require a refundable security deposit and be subject to taxes & fees included during checkout. In the event total cost isn't generated at checkout, someone from our team will contact you and email a separate invoice to collect taxes and security deposit. (All prices will be communicated prior to payment).
  • Can I book more than one character?
    Yes. If booked 2 weeks in advance, we will make arrangements for more than one character to attend your event/party based on availability. Be sure to book both desired characters on our website. *Please be advised that the cost of an appearance or rental doubles when adding more than one character. Be sure to follow our social media pages in effort to stay informed on special offers and coupon codes.
  • What time should I book my Kharacter/performer to arrive to the party/event?
    Suggestion only: We advise you book your kharacter during the middle of your party if possible. This will allow the kharacter an opportunity to arrive, surprise the guest, entertain, participate in activities you specify if applicable, and allow time for your guests to return to normal activities upon the kharacters exit. (But feel free to book your character at anytime during your party that you prefer based on time slots available).
  • I notice most of the availability for bookings are for weekends only. Will KYP attend weekday events and/or daytime events at home daycares and centers?
    Based on availability some weekday and/or daytime events may be approved if submitted at least one month in advance (This is on a case by case basis). Be sure to submit a request on our website to inquire about special events and reservations.
  • Can your performers attend outdoor events?
    Yes, but in the event of inclement weather such as extreme heat, cold, rain, or snow, we ask that you move your party inside for safety of performer and/or costume.
  • Is it possible to book through social media or should I visit the website?
    Our team will respond to contact via social media or other platforms within 24-48 hours to answer any general questions you may have. However, in an effort to reserve your service it’s best to book on our website at www.kharacterizeyourparty.com Should you have issues, receive error codes, or are interested in being added to our waitlist in case of cancellations please reach out to us and we'll be more than happy to assist you.
  • Does KYP offer special promotions?
    KYP plans to implement special promotions in the near future. Please follow us on FB for specials and promo codes when available.
  • Does KYP use any social media platforms?

  • What are the Kharacters authorized to do? What activities can I have the performer participate in during my party/event?
    Kharacters are authorized to participate in party/event activities within the allotted timeframe reserved. Unless alternative activity options are requested and approved during time of booking, the performer(s) will perform the activities outlined in contract for package paid for by client. Our general itinerary includes: -Performer (in costume) -Attendant (to assist with flow of itinerary if applicable or added for additional $25 based on request). -Surprise entrance to party while playing themed music or approved music of client’s choice. -Performance/dancing to themed music/songs (2 songs) -Photos, mingling, and interaction with guests (Photos with will be taken with client and client guests using their own cellular and/or technology devices. - Client's choice of one or more activities based on remaining time (must communicate with performer what it is you want him or her to do). Our goal is to provide a fun filled experience for your party guests within the designated timeframe. Our performer will arrive, interact with guests, and allow time for you to take photos with him/her using your own (client and client guests) cellular or technology devices. Should you want character to participate or be present for any additional activities such as games, be sure it is within the allotted timeframe and a reasonable request.
  • Can I upgrade birthday package or add time to my current package?
    Upgrades and additional time can be added up to 2 weeks prior to your event and are based on availability. An approval and/or denial will be sent to confirm upgrades and additional time.
  • What do I need on the day of the party?
    For Appearances: The day of your party someone from our team will communicate with you. This may be the attendant, performer, and/or owner of KYP. Be sure to correspond with them via text and/or by phone when they reach out to exchange important information. For Rentals: A member from KYP team will contact you once payment has been made and discuss arrangements for pick up or delivery of costume. All costume rentals should be picked up no later than 10am the day of your party/event and returned by 6pm to avoid late fees. In the event client prefers a delivery the KYP team member will charge a standard delivery fee. *Please refer to contract/agreement for detailed information.
  • How many children/guests can I invite?
    We at Kharacterize your party hope to maintain social distancing as often as possible. We ask that you consider the safety of everyone by being mindful of space and the ability or inability to social distance. Our goal is for the performer and attendant to entertain and interact with guests for the designated reservation time. Please be sure the booking form is accurate when listing number of children, guests, or adults so the performer can prepare accordingly. Should the number of children exceed the initial disclosed number provided by the client, the attendant and performer have permission to alter performance as needed.
  • Do we need to provide parking?
    Yes. If possible, we ask that you reserve and/or arrange a designated parking space to make sure our performers/Kharacter and attendant can access your event with ease. (Not applicable to events/parties at a public venue where parking is considered on a first come, first serve basis. Not applicable for those utilizing our rental services)
  • What ways will the performer and attendant assist with my party during their visit?
    The performer and attendant (if applicable) are only responsible for flow of the itinerary and/or activities paid for via party package within designated timeframe. The performer and attendant are NOT responsible for monitoring disruptive behavior and attending to children that do not wish to participate. The client and/or other authorized adults in attendance need to assist with any disruptions that may interrupt the flow of the itinerary and be sure to keep both the children/guests, attendant, and performer safe at all times.
  • Does KYP have any COVID-19 Guidelines in place?
    Kharacterize Your Party performers will wear a costume with a face covering. Our attendants are required to wear a face mask (we will make adjustments based on CDC guidelines). We strongly encourage our guests to follow CDC guidelines. If required by law, we will help enforce those policies. Performers and attendants reserve the right to limit interactions with guests to 6 feet in an effort to maintain social distance, particularly in the event a guest is not wearing a mask or the number of attendees significantly exceeds the number listed on booking form. We understand children may not always wear a mask, but kindly request adults do so should they wish to take photos and interact with attendant and performer(s). *Subject to change based on CDC guidelines
  • How are the costumes at KYP cleaned?
    Our costumes are cleaned, steamed, and sanitized after each use.
  • Will Kharacterize Your Party attend events in restaurants or other locations such as game arcades, zoo's, museums etc?"
    Yes. Please make sure you confirm that we have permission to enter the facility at least 2 weeks prior to your scheduled event. (We will need something in writing from the manager, owner, or supervisor of the venue confirming this or an email for approval). One of the most important things to take into account with parties at a restaurant or party venue is space. We ask that you make sure there is at least a 10×10 area for the entertainment. Also, we strongly recommend that you have the children eat before or after the Kharacter appearance and make sure that you clean all hands of any food that may damage the costumes.
  • What services/Activities do you provide?
    Kharacterize Your Party LLC will be adding new package options as our business expands. Currently we offer the following services/packages. Kharacter Appearances which include: -Surprise entrance to party while playing Kharacter themed music or approved music of client’s choice. - Performance/dancing to Kharacter themed music/songs -Photos, mingling, and interaction with guests (Photos with Kharacter will be taken with client and client guests cellular and/or technology devices. Attendant will be available to assist with this process if desired). Unless alternative activity options are requested and approved in time for your party/event, the performer(s)/Kharacters will perform the activities outlined in contract for package paid for by client. The SUPERHERO Costume Single Rental Package is $45-$55 and includes: A SUPERHERO Costume Rental that has been cleaned, steamed, and sanitized prior to your use. The SUPERHERO costume can be worn by a family member or friend to your party or event. (Costume must be picked up by 10am and returned by 6pm the day of your event). A Mascot Costume Single Kharacter Rental Package ranges from $100-$175 and includes: A Mascot Costume Rental that has been cleaned, steamed, and sanitized prior to your use. The Mascot costume can be worn by a family member, or friend to your party or event. (Costume must be returned by 6pm the day of your event).
  • How far in advance can I book?
    Clients can book on our website up to 60 days in advance. Should you have additional questions feel free to contact us for more information.
  • If I rent a costume, how can I make sure I receive my deposit back once costume/item is returned?"
    Several of our costumes are rented at a standard rate and a deposit may not always be required. However, when renting a costume be mindful that: The client may be held responsible for excessive damage sustained to costumes and property of Kharacterize Your Party LLC during client’s event. The cost to replace/repair damaged/broken costumes or materials will be billed to client, deducted from client deposit (when applicable) or processed using original payment method. The costumes and property of Kharacterize Your Party LLC are very valuable and will not be subject to smoke of any kind. We ask that client and client guests refrain from smoking in the presence of the performer and attendant or when renting a costume. (In most cases we charge a flat rate for rentals so a deposit may not always be required). * Please be sure to view the website to review pricing for Kharater of your choice.
  • Why are costume rentals paid by full day? Am I able to reduce the price by renting for fewer hours?
    Costumes available for rent are listed at a fixed rate. This allows the customer several hours to utilize the costume and helps in the event there is an adjustment in start time of party. We want to be sure our customers have more than enough time to utilize the costume without feeling rushed to pick up and return. Upon return the staff at KYP will need to inspect, steam, clean, and prepare costume(s) for other potential customer(s). We want to be sure we have time to prepare costumes for future rentals. Please see the full day rental as a benefit to you as a client should you need flexibility throughout the day. Costumes rented at KYP should be picked up at or before 10am and returned by 6pm the day of your event. (In the event you'd like to schedule a later pick up time please communicate with our staff as pick up and drop off times are currently set based on their availability).
  • When is my payment due?
    Payment for service is due upon reservation. Payment must be made in full using one of the approved payment methods. Reservation will not be confirmed unless payment is made. Payment for rentals are to be paid in full prior to scheduling a pickup/delivery for costume. A “refundable” security deposit for incidentals may also be required and will be refunded when costume has been returned in acceptable condition. *Refunds and deposits will be returned using the same method of payment used to schedule/book a service.
  • What method of payments do you accept?
    We accept Paypal, Square, Master Card, Visa, Discover, and Amex. All payments are submitted via our website. (More payment options will populate during checkout if available).
  • Do your performers accept gratuity?
    Yes, however, our performers don’t carry large sums of cash. We ask that you provide them with exact change if possible or communicate with them to obtain their Paypal/cash app information if you desire to tip.
  • What is your cancellation/refund policy?
    In the event of severe weather, illness, or unforeseen circumstances Kharacterize Your Party LLC, reserves the right to reschedule your party. In the event of cancellation by Kharacterize your Party LLC staff, payment will be refunded unless client desires to apply payment towards a rescheduled date based on availability. If a client chooses to cancel a party due to weather, illness, or unforeseen circumstances, we will process a refund. However, ALL refund requests will be subject to a processing fee. Refund requests for cancellations more than 14 days prior to party/event incur a $20 processing fee. Refund requests for cancellations 3-14 days prior to party/event incur a $35 processing fee. Refund requests for cancellations 24-48 hours prior to party/event will incur a $45 processing fee. Client Rescheduling: In the event client prefers to reschedule party/event opposed to requesting a refund, the party/event must be rescheduled within 30 days of request and is based on KYP staff availability. If client later request cancellation of a rescheduled party/event payment is nonrefundable. Any party/event rescheduled after 30 days will require a new payment and/or deposit (when applicable) to make a new reservation.
  • Can I reschedule my event?
    For Appearances: If client chooses to cancel/reschedule a party due to weather, illness, or unforeseen circumstances, the client may reschedule the event up to 60 days from the original event date based on availability of booking. Any party/event rescheduled after 60 days will require a new payment and/or deposit (when applicable) for a new reservation. (In this case the deposit is non-refundable). If a client chooses to cancel or reschedule, it’s important to contact KYP as soon as possible. For Rentals: (Clients who rent a costume are able to cancel or reschedule event date up to 30 days from initial request “if” cancellation or reschedule is confirmed prior to costume pick up/delivery). *
